Unlike Spot Colour and conventional Full Colour printing, Digital Printers use specially produced coloured dust called "toner" to generate their images.

The toner is layered onto the paper or card using a statically charged rotating length of film. As each layer of coloured toner melts together the finished image begins to form.

As the toner dries instantly it saves time and makes Digital printing the fastest printing option available. Using a digital printer requires little set up time and management which translates to less labour costs to be passed on to the customer. This makes digital printing more affordable for short run full colour work than press printing.
